Every Olympic Logo. From Every Olmypic Games. Ever. Awesome.

Ever wonder what the evolution of graphic design looks like over a period of about a century? Well, wonder no more.

I know Sochi is long behind us, but in my humble opinion, it’s tough to consume too much Olympic news and content. If you don’t love the Olympics, there’s something wrong with you. Maybe North Korea’s Mass Games are more up your alley? But I digress…

So here’s every Olympic logo ever. I think the changes are pretty mind-blowing. Also, does anyone else agree that we went through the Dark Ages of graphic design from, say, the early 1990’s through 2000 or so? I think we can all agree that the ’92 Barcelona logo — while that Games was arguably one of most memorable, especially for basketball fans — looks like it should be the logo for that software company from Office Space.

As far as the best, most beautiful logos? I think that the 50’s and 60’s may have been the Golden Age of Olympic logo design. ’64 Innsbruck, anyone? Beautiful.

What do you think?
